My initiative to start an independent consultancy around the topic of Employer of Record, comes forth from my deep personal association with this topic, as you will be able to learn from other area’s of this website.
Off course, knowing that for 25 years I have been the Founder, Owner, CEO and whatnot of Parakar, the word independent here may make you frown or raise questions.
Therefore following statements:
- First of all: I’m proud to still be remembered as founder of Parakar, as I can’t undo that anymore. Just as I can’t help that the present CEO of Parakar is also my daughter.
- And yes, at this very point in time, the status is that I am still a (minority-)shareholder in Parakar Group B.V.
Which is a logical and important part of my retirement plan & old-age pension. A project is ongoing however to place this interest ‘at a distance’ as lawyers tend to say. - And, I’m happy that Parakar has choosen to be a client of EORconsult too, as external advisor.
So how about that independence?
With my work under the EORConsult label, I foremost want to contribute to the FUTURE of WORK for all that are interested. Which I think i can, as I’ve been around this industry long enough, and have dealt with its strengths and flaws from literally every angle and every stakeholder’s position.
From within my membership of various committees in the World Employment Confederation, I am already bound by the applicable rules of confidentiality, anti-trust, anti-cartel, and transparency.
And I can promise that next to the confidentiality statements in every assignment that I will accept, I am committed to keep a neutral position, and to bring a neutral, professional vision forward, on any issue or topic I will be involved in.
